A brief history

2014

The idea of controlling VR games with your hands instead of a game controller was a novel one, and a group of ambitious people set out to create exactly this. A pair of gloves you put on, translating all of your hand and finger movements directly to a digital world.

2015

MANUS acquired leading development partners and clients at the Dutch Startup Bootcamp: Demo Day, enabling MANUS to hit the ground running.

2016

MANUS releases their first Development Kit Gloves (DK1) setting the bar for hand and finger capture worldwide.

2017

MANUS VR releases the improved and updated DK2 gloves focusing more on Virtual Reality functionality.

2018

MANUS releases the Prime I gloves including haptic feedback. The first partnership with Xsens and OptiTrack takes form.

2019

The MANUS team has grown to include a substantial Software and development team and the first Full Body Capture prototype, Polygon, is built.

2020

MANUS releases the Prime II gloves. Alongside with a dedicated Xsens Glove by MANUS.

2020

MANUS releases the SteamVR Pro Tracker. The first professional tracker based on OpenVR.

2021

MANUS releases the Prime X series gloves and makes Polygon free to use for the creative community. Also the main offices relocate to Eindhoven and the German and US offices open its doors.

2022

MANUS releases the new gold standard Quantum Metagloves leading the market.

2023

MANUS releases the Quantum Bodypack. The perfect way to gain freedom of movement without data loss.

2023

MANUS releases the Prime 3 Haptic XR and the Prime 3 Mocap gloves with fully integrated Haptic Feedback.

2024

MANUS releases the Bodypack Lite. The extremely compact and lightweight version of the bodypack.
