Gold Medals at the 2026 World Humanoid Robot Games: Real-time Teleoperation with MANUS Metagloves

Congratulations to our partner AGIBOT on 18 gold medals and first place in the medal table at the 2nd World Humanoid Robot Games. In the dexterous hand competition, AGILINK's OmniHand, teleoperated in real time with MANUS Metagloves, took first place in events including cable connection, unboxing, nail fixing and bottle opening. Here is a closer look at those runs, and at what a competition floor asks of a data glove.

The second World Humanoid Robot Games brought 666 teams from 16 countries and 2,056 robots to the National Speed Skating Oval in Beijing for 51 events. AgiBot finished at the top of the medal table with 18 golds, 16 silvers and 12 bronzes, competing with production robots rather than machines built for the occasion.

This year the Games added a dedicated dexterous hand competition for the first time: eight events, an average of 51 teams registered per event, and between seven and seventeen teams in each final. The tasks were modelled on industrial and household work rather than on show pieces. Cable connection means seating a connector in a confined space. Bottle opening puts two hands to work against each other. Every task has to be completed within five minutes, in front of a jury, with a crowd watching. Jiang Guangzhi, executive deputy director of the organizing committee, summed up the intent: win a medal and win an order, leave the arena and enter the factory.

Gold-Medal Runs with MANUS Metagloves

AGILINK, AgiBot's dexterous hand subsidiary, reached the finals in all eight dexterous-hand events with OmniHand, winning seven gold, four silver, and three bronze medals across autonomous and teleoperated approaches. First places with MANUS Metagloves on the operators' hands included cable connection, unboxing and unpacking, nail fixing, bottle opening and lid prying.

On the competition floor, those capabilities translate into precise motion input, stable data throughout the run, and dependable control under pressure.
