Note: This article applies to both Prime 3 Haptic XR Gloves and Prime 3 Mocap Gloves

Note: This article applies to both Quantum Mocap Metagloves and Quantum XR Metagloves.

This tutorial can be used for all Prime II and Prime X gloves, including both the Xsens and OptiTrack partner models.

Removing Electronics


Step 1

Open the wrist Velcro.

Step 2

Open the Logo Velcro.

Step 3

Pull gently on the corners to release the fabric from the casing.

Step 4

By flipping over the fabric you can now expose the electronic housing.

Step 5 (Haptics Only)

Gently detach the Linear Resonant Actuators (LRA's) and guide them through the opening in the fabric.

Step 6

Detach the adjustment flap and gently remove the fabric from the corners.

Step 7

With a wiggling motion you can now pull out the electronics.

Pay attention to the thumb sensors as they have some extra curves.

Step 8

For Optical MoCap gloves like OptiTrack you need to use the included hex/allen key to unscrew the reflective markers.

Washing the Textile


Step 1

Make sure you have removed all electronics and reflective markers (if applicable)

Step 2

Machine wash up to 60°C / 140°F and tumble dry on low to medium heat.

You can also hand wash the gloves in warm water and air dry them.

The gloves can also be disinfected by spraying with Isopropyl Alcohol 70% solution.

Placing the Electronics Back


Step 1

Make sure you have removed all electronics and reflective markers (if applicable)
