Introduction

To access your MANUS Quantum Bodypack remotely over the network, you will need to know its 'Hostname' and 'IP address'.

Using Windows Command Prompt Locally

You can use the Windows Command Prompt to retrieve your Bodypack hostname and IP address.

Connect your Bodypack to a display, mouse and keyboard, and log in using the login information.

Open the Command Prompt through the Windows Start Menu search bar by typing "cmd":

Hostname

Type "hostname" in the Command Prompt and press the 'enter' key to see the Hostname:

The hostname of your Bodypack is based on its device name, and will not change by itself.

IP Address

Type "ipconfig" in the Command Prompt, press 'enter', and look for the IPv4 Address of the 'Wireless LAN adapter Wi-Fi':

Depending on your Bodypack and Wi-Fi network settings, the IP address might change depending on your Wi-Fi access point and local routing configuration.

If you have not connected your Bodypack to a Wi-Fi network yet, please follow the Configuring Wi-Fi Connection instructions first.

Using MANUS Core Dashboard Remotely

The MANUS Core Dashboard scans your local network for available MANUS Core instances.

If your Bodypack has already been configured to use your local Wi-Fi network, you can use another computer running the MANUS Core Dashboard to retrieve your Bodypack's hostname, IP address and MANUS Core version it is running.

MANUS Core Dashboard

Open the MANUS Core Dashboard and go to settings:

Open the "MANUS Core Connection" menu:

Make sure "Local Host Only" is unchecked to see MANUS Core instances on your local network:

Hostname

The Bodypack hostname starts with "MANUS-QBP-" and it followed by 5 random characters:

IP Address

The Bodypack IP address is shown in the same overview:

Depending on your Bodypack and Wi-Fi network settings, the IP address might change depending on your Wi-Fi access point and local routing configuration.
